Make a Human Connection
We’re sharing tips on how you can cultivate new friendships and maintain existing relationships.
After months and months on lockdown, strained, socially distanced get-togethers, and perhaps losing touch with people with whom you once shared a bond, it’s time to get back out there to experience the joy of friendship.
Below, we share some tips on how to make your social circle as vibrant as can be:
1. Learn Something New
Sign up for a course—cooking, flower arranging, woodworking—to not only learn a new skill, but you’ll also be able to meet individuals with similar interests.
2. Get Active. Outdoors!
Enlist a friend, or friends, to start an outdoor fitness routine. Whether you’re going for a walk/hike, meeting in a park for a guided workout using your device, or joining an organized sports league, remember: friends that get active together stay together.
3. Volunteer
Why not do some good in your community while meeting new people? Getting involved with local causes by donating your time and effort is a great way to give back and can be an immense mood-booster while helping you connect with others who are as generous as you are.
4. Join a Hobby Club
Already have a keen interest in photography, stamp collecting or reading? Join a hobby club to discuss topics you’re passionate about with others; nothing brings two people together better than shared enthusiasm over a common topic.
