22-year-old Samuel Collett proves that your outward appearance doesn’t define your connections and experiences. Half Guyanese and half Dutch, he was adopted and raised by a Caucasian family in Canada. “When I was in my late teens I met my biological family and was able to reinterpret my identity and see the world through a new lens.” He chose the Canadian flag sweater for the country that he loves and interchanges the Dutch and Guyanese sleeve patches to express his heritage.
