Director Community Engagement

Mondetta/MPG is seeking a Director Community Engagement to develop and implement an organizational engagement strategy for charitable, corporate and brand with an emphasis on planning and executing special events via a community impact model. The Director Community Engagement will also provide leadership under the broad, strategic direction of the Board of Director’s for the Mondetta Charity Foundation (MCF). The Director will partner with cross functional teams to innovate, lead and manage Mondetta/MPG’s community engagement strategy and special event programs across North America. These programs will align with the organization’s strategic vision to increase brand awareness and customer engagement. The individual will be a dynamic leader, entrepreneurial, have financial acumen, and will assist in developing strategic plans and the vision for the MCF and Mondetta/MPG overarching brand awareness for the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participating in MCF Board meetings, providing strategic direction, vision, mission and goals of the MCF.
  • Goal implementation within the Board approved strategic plan and annual budget.
  • Provide strategic advice to the organization, provides oversight to fundraising initiatives,
    ensures accountability from beneficiaries, provides supervision to any volunteers or
  • Serves as spokesperson, oversees and coordinates special events, promotional materials
    including social media and print/digital materials.
  • Lead special events and marketing communications projects, sponsorship initiatives and other community focused projects to include communications, promotion/community outreach, partnership development.
  • Provide direction and copywriting in support of marketing priorities and special events to include collateral/promotional print and digital materials, advertising, media relations materials, proposals, scripts/run of show, work plans, creative briefs, research and analysis documents and reports.
  • Develop systems for gathering, analyzing and improving data management as related to community engagement projects and event planning execution.
  • Manage the scheduling, promotion and execution of engagement events with key partners.
  • Directly manage event budgets and work closely with internal partners to ensure proper
    documentation, reporting, contracts, and legal requirements specific to event production.
  • Oversee both internal and external event team members.


  • Related University degree in management, business or fundraising and marketing
  • 3 years of progressive management experience in a not for profit organization or related
  • Proven track record in cultivating and maintaining relationships, experience with funders
    and donors would be an asset
  • Experience in financial, and project management
  • Direct experience in a charity foundation of a smaller size is an assetLS & ABILITIES
  • Exceptional written, oral and public speaking/presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be innovative, flexible and a self-starter
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office & social media
  • Ability to work on periodically after 5 pm and weekends
  • Willing to travel to Africa once per year
  • Valid driver’s license

Pattern Maker

Mondetta/MPG is looking for a dynamic and driven Pattern Maker with experience in the apparel/fashion industry to join their growing team. This position is based in Winnipeg, MB.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To develop well fitting patterns from sketches, samples and specifications.
  • Make required spec, design or construction changes in consultation with Technical Design and New Development departments
  • Understands how to grade garments manually and on our pattern software
  • Creating 3D fit garments and digitize new garments, print patterns
  • Assist and give input during fittings
  • To find glitches and recommend user-friendly improvements

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree/ Diploma in a fashion program that included pattern making
  • Experience making patterns professionally
  • Understands commercial pattern drafting and grading
  • Advanced CAD training and computer skills
  • Good communication, both verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Is detail oriented
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Eligible to work in Canada

Visual Coordinator/Fit Model

The Visual Coordinator/Fit Model will assist the Visual Director on photo and video shoots by scheduling locations and talent, coordinating props, styling models and managing photoshoot samples. The position will help execute the overall vision of the brand as we evolve and expand into new customer and product channels. The Visual Merchandizing Coordinator/Fit Model will be required to support brand events, tradeshows, and pop-ups and attend these events as required. The role will also require working with the in-house Fit Team, trying on and evaluating samples for garment fit and feel and supporting the Fit Team as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with photo, video and social media shoots on the executional and planning including; schedule locations, props, and talent as well as assisting with styling models and managing photoshoot samples
  • Assist in management of content library of photos, videos and image selects
  • Assist with support for the execution of trade shows, pop-ups and other community brand events
  • Attend community brand events as required (some weekend/evening availability will be required)
  • Assist with the curation of UGC (User-Generated Content) and social content and monitor UGC streams for social channels
  • Work with the Fit Team to try on samples during daily/weekly fit sessions as well as in front of other teams for sales/new development meetings
  • Evaluate and communicate issues with garment fit, feel and function
  • Wear-testing a small percentage of styles during workouts
  • Ability to assist in-house with concept development, content creation, copywriting, and proofreading

Skills & Experience:

  • Post-Secondary education in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related fields
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a Marketing, Public Relations or Communications role
  • Retail or fashion experience is considered an asset
  • Must be professional, personable, self-motivated and flexible
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and unprompted in follow through
  • Passion for high-quality photography and videography
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in physical fitness and participating in a variety of activities, willing to wear-test product
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment
  • Must be results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience in retail, recognizing international fashion brands, seasonal trends and the implications of how they translate to the Mondetta/MPG customers, would be an asset
  • Must have a true passion for fashion and apparel
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, warm personality, people oriented, and creative

Fit Technician (Apparel)

Mondetta/MPG is looking for a dynamic and driven Fit Technician with experience in the apparel/fashion industry to join their growing team. This position is based in Winnipeg, MB.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicates with customers and sales department to understand the fit requirements for a program
  • Creates measurement specifications working with design departments
  • Works with pattern makers to assist in developing patterns
  • Conducts fittings, identifies and analyzes fit/pattern issues, and provides solutions for sample improvement
  • Creates fit sketches to aid the vendor in correcting issues
  • Communicates with overseas vendors to resolve fit and construction issues following up to ensure all development/production fit details and specifications are being respected
  • Provides all graded specifications
  • Works with 3D virtual fitting technology to achieve a perfect fit

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in Fashion Technology or Textile program
  • Several years of experience as a Fit technician
  • Knowledge of pattern making, alterations, and fitting
  • Clear understanding of garment construction
  • Experience with knit wear
  • Understands commercial pattern grading
  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients, partners & vendors
